Senator Bob Corker, who’s in line to become chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee next month, signaled he may move slowly on legislation to impose additional sanctions on Iran over its nuclear activities.

The Tennessee Republican said members of his party should act cautiously on such matters as they assume the powers of the majority in the Senate.
